He punished us both as if we both would err Learned of this transgression, learned of your affair, I felt the Star and I forever were bound.Īnd when Perkunas, God of Thunder and of our realm I saw no other light, heard no other sound, Indeed, the Star seduced me with her graceful charm It pains me to remember how this affected the Earth She looks like a swan in the heavenly lake -Īh, get on with our story, or my heart will break Like a star, always center stage she takes Evening Star some call her, and she, dressed in white,įloats with graceful charm, a maiden of the Sky! We often crossed paths with the Morning Star. When there was no difference between dark and light, Us and our daughter, the Earth, our hearts’ delight. our heavenly bodies beaming with pride.įrom then on three of us would by fate be tied In bliss we welcomed our first dear child The fourth and last stanza reads: 'Yours is the light by which my spirit’s born: yours is the darkness of my soul’s return you are my sun, my moon. His words, 'You are my sun, my moon and all my stars' is actually the name of a poem he wrote. So here is my version of the Sun and Monn love-story daina: He was a Libran, compassionate by nature and an incurable romantic with a charming personality. Me being a romantic and an optimist, I thought, “but there has to be a way for the former lovers to meet!.” Having pondered this for a while, the eclipse came to mind! Yes, the eclipse is the only brief moment when the sun covers the moon or vice-versa, and they can kiss for just a brief moment, until they are forced to part ways again. But anyway, the betrayal and its consequences are the gist. Now, please don’t hold me accountable for details, for I have not witnessed this, and there are many versions of the story (you know how people, er, planets can gossip). Since then, as punishment, the Moon and the Sun could never meet the moon had to travel by night, and the sun by day. That is, until the Moon betrayed the Sun and slept with the Morning Star. In a nutshell, the love story goes that that Sun and the Moon fell in love and travelled the world together. It was published by Michelkin Publishing and has a total of 36 pages in the book. The title of this book is Dear Sun, Dear Moon and it was written by Deborah Paggi, Gayle Cole (Illustrator). In order to get through this intense energy of transformation, I looked looked to the myths and looked up at the sky. For me, this has been an awesome time of change, some of which I anticipated, some of which I did not. The eclipses of 2017 have come and gone, but their mega dose of energy stays with us for at least 6 months. ![]()
